Tinkering my way towards a sustainable life, helped by my wife and two cats.

By profession I am a geospatial data engineer, by vocation a church organist, by inclination a craftsman and by conviction a steward of the natural world. I live on the fringes of Dartmoor, which suits me nicely.

Across this site you will find something of my interests and work; from mapping Dartmoor firebreaks to composing a Good Friday Passion, from sewing an Henrican costume to building a deanery management system. My strong preference, if I have just one, is to do things purposefully, with care, and by hand where possible.
