TheOrganist24 Tinkering towards a sustainable life

TheOrganist24

Nicholas Courtman is, by most measures, an eccentric gentleman; tinkering his way towards a sustainable life, helped by his wife and two cats. He is a geospatial data engineer by profession, a church organist by vocation, a craftsman by inclination, and a steward of the natural world by conviction. He lives on the fringes of Dartmoor, which suits him well.

Across the five areas of this site you will find something of the range of his interests and work; from the mapping of Dartmoor firebreaks to the composition of a Good Friday Passion, from hand-stitching an Elizabethan costume to building a deanery management system. The common thread, if there is one, is a preference for doing things properly, with care, and by hand where possible.

He hopes you find something here that resonates, and is always glad to hear from those who do.
